Designing a workspace for the tech industry is a unique project. Unlike traditional industry where you intake raw materials and ship out a product, here it is about people. Addressing mental needs is a functional requirement! In order for this “factory” to be productive, we need to put people in the core of the design process.
CREATE A SENSUAL SPACE
People inhabit space with all their senses. I feel it is important to harness these senses to produce the best experience. The workers in this new “factory” need to have a bespoke smart space.
A seamless, delicate balance of personal private closures and interactive public space.
CREATE A VISUAL BRAND
The final result must actually feel like it is a consistent brand. A presence. Walking around the new office space one must feel a unique culture. Sometimes the new space is part of a global network. It is imperative to create a tailor-made set of ingredients that will eventually create a visual bespoke brand.
